These new 7’10 rods come in 3 powers. Pretty much Light/Medium/Heavy. We wanted to offer some longer rods in our lineup for distance casting. Perfect for so many different applications! These are also excellent rods for the pier or jetty fisherman. #12-25 The lightest rod is the 12-25. We like this one for walking the surf with a 5000/6000 Saragossa-sized reel. Snook, Tarpon, big Jacks, excellent for throwing big bucktails or top waters. #20-40 The 20-40 is basically identical with just a little more power in the tip section. Excellent tarpon rod! I also use this rod for offshore fishing. We put nothing but a naked ballyhoo and leave it ready to zing out to the weed lines for a big dolphin when trolling by. Put the tip towards the sky and bounce that Ballyhoo, swimming off the weed line and the explosions are crazy! Fun fun rod! I like an 8000/10,000 Saragossa on this rod. 30-50 The 30-50 has the most power. Use a 14,000 size reel or bigger and throw your top water Tuna poppers all day long with this rod! Great for targeting larger fish.
