Our light duty 50-100# rod comes with a #2 Bent Butt and is ideal for fishing shallow waters from 400-1000’ of water for 10# Snapper to 100# Grouper. Don’t let this rod fool you though as I have seen some ridiculously sized monster Grouper slayed on this combo! It will get the job done in a hurry!! Many customers start off with this setup to get their feet wet when just starting to try Deep Drop fishing and we have been extremely shocked and in awe of what this little reel can handle. Great rod for a smaller-sized electric reel like the Shimano Beastmaster or Daiwa Tanacom reels.
The heavy-duty 60-130# rod was designed to pair up with the LP SV1200 electric reels. This rod is a workhorse and will handle the strain and power of using the LP reel with an 8-12# lead deep dropping down 1000-2000’. This rod has a #4 bent butt to fit the larger reels.
