The Connley Fishing Blue Young Guns Carbon Fiber Slow Pitch Jigging 6'6" is designed specifically for the unique action and technique of slow pitch jigging. Available in 150g Medium Light, 260g Heavy, and 300g Extra Heavy models, these carbon fiber rods are extremely thin, lightweight, flexible, and strong. Their responsive action allows the rod to load and release the jig laterally through the water, creating the fluttering and falling action that makes slow pitch jigging so effective around wrecks and structure. Unlike traditional vertical jigging, these rods are designed to work the jig while allowing the reel to do much of the work when fighting the fish.
Available in a 6'6" length, each rod is built on a lightweight carbon fiber slow pitch blank and equipped with a lightweight graphite reel seat, durable conventional ceramic guides, and comfortable EVA foam grips. Finished in our signature blue and silver Blue Young Guns Series wrap, these rods provide exceptional sensitivity while maintaining the strength and durability needed for serious bottom and wreck fishing.
The Blue Young Guns Carbon Fiber Slow Pitch Jigging rods are excellent choices for targeting grouper, snapper, amberjack, blackfin tuna, and a variety of other wreck and bottom species. Pair them with a Shimano Torium 1500 or 2000, or step up to a Shimano Ocea Jigger 2000 for a premium slow pitch setup. At Connley Fishing, we understand that sometimes you might receive a rod that feels too light, too stiff, or just not what you originally expected. We will gladly accept any rod for a refund or exchange within 30 days after you receive it. Just mail the new rod back to us with a note explaining what you would like us to do. There will be a $30 charge for return FedEx shipping and handling if we are mailing you a new replacement rod.
